Beer Can Cozy

free pattern

This cozy fits the Heineken Keg Can perfectly! But any soda can or beer
can will do ;-)

yarn: Karabella Vintage Cotton

crochet hook: size F (3.75mm)

Abbreviations:
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
in next - in next stitch
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
beg - beginning

INSTRUCTIONS

- ch 20, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each across

NOW YOU WILL BE WORKING IN THE FRONT LOOP ONLY
- ch 1, turn, 1 sc in next, *ch 1, skip 1, 1 sc in next; repeat from * across,
end with 1 sc in turning ch
- repeat above row 33 times (or to fit your sized can, mine was a beer can, slightly larger than a soda can)

- fold rectangle in half to join foundation row to last row worked, sl st in each st to join together, forming a tube.
- turn work so that you will start working a round along the bottom edge
- *ch 1, 1 sc at the end of the next ridge; repeat from * around, join to beg
(you will be working a sc in the end of each "ridge", when you worked the rectangle you made horizontal lines with two rows of single crochet between)
- *ch 1, turn, 1 sc in next sc (skipping ch); repeat from * across, join to beg
