Meet “Ghost Bob”, a variation on my popular Blanket Bob Pattern.

He is meant for kids to slip their fingers behind his head, making it easy to carry him around, to clutch and befriend.

A small toy (only 9.5″ tall) and a VERY quick knit.

Totally suitable for beginners, garter stitch only!

There is even a photo tutorial on how to sew him together.

Betty Bobble Lace Hat

This new FREE pattern was worked up in one night, I had a couple skeins of Spud and Chloe Outer that I was dying to make into a new winter hat.

So here it is!

NOTE: Spud and Chloe Outer is a very unique yarn, I tried working the same pattern with a merino yarn that knits up to the same gauge, but the hat came out very small. So if you are making this hat and don’t want to use the yarn called for, do so at your own risk!

It has been BITTER cold up here in New England. Tomorrow many schools are closed, no snow, just too cold…

Since I’ve been staying in, I finally finished writing up a new pattern!

Here is the hat in Loop-d-Loop Tundra

I’ve actually been wearing this hat for almost two months now.. get a lot of compliments when I’m out and about.

A chunky hat to knit in one short evening!

Meant to be worn beret style, sitting loose at the top of your head. Tundra is a great new yarn from Loop-d-Loop, very similar to favorite Rowan Big Wool.

—UPDATE—
Tundra is unique, it stretches easily. If you substitute yarn, make sure to add a few more rounds to the cap.
