Meet “Ghost Bob”, a variation on my popular Blanket Bob Pattern.

He is meant for kids to slip their fingers behind his head, making it easy to carry him around, to clutch and befriend.

A small toy (only 9.5″ tall) and a VERY quick knit.

Totally suitable for beginners, garter stitch only!

Here is my original carrot pattern!

EASTER CROCHET CARROT

size H crochet hook

orange yarn: Bernat Softee Chunky yarn

green yarn: worsted weight

* to * means repeat

-ch 2
-4 sc in first ch
(from now on, work sc in back loop only)

working in a spiral, not turning work:
-1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in each of next 5 sc, turn inside out
-work *1 sc in next, 2 sc in next* 5 times, work 20 sc around,
2 sc in next
-work *10 sc around, 2 sc in next* 3 times, work 50 sc around,
2 sc in next
-work *12 sc around, 2 sc in next* 3 times, work 120 sc around
-work *skip 1, 1 sc in each of next 2* 8 times
-join green yarn
-1 sc in next, skip 1, 1 sc in each of next 2, skip 1, 1 sc in each of next 3, skip 1, 1 sc in each of next 3, skip 1, 1 sc in each of next 3

-close top by sl st crochet in every other st until closed,
do not cut yarn
-make greens by chaining 20 sts then working 5 dc, 3 hdc, then all sc along ch back to beginning, join to top of carrot, repeat until you have the desired amount of greens

Finished it in one night.
Two colors, 1 strand each held together.

Gives me a chance to work with Vickie Howell  Craft yarn and  an opportunity to make  a baby sweater.

I do love this yarn, knits up soft and has a little bit of a  ”milk fiber”  halo.

Speaking of yarns, i have a huge crush on Plymouth Boku, we just got some new colors in the shop and i’m having a hard time not dreaming about working with the yarn again.   i have so many WIP’s right now though, so maybe the Boku dreams will make me finish them.

but!   we did get back from our yearly vacation to Maine a couple weeks ago… it was a blast as usual, and I taught my brothers girlfriend to crochet!

and did lots of fishing!

it was great for teaching someone how to crochet, Kay made hers in one afternoon!
